Bright suns, travelers!

I hope you're doing ok. Here in America, we're living through... well... even more unprecedented times and it's looking like it's not going to let up for a while. I know we all need an escape and for many of you who found me through Twitter (rest in peace) or Threads (rest in peace) or BlueSky, you've maybe also seen me on TikTok where I've been going a little wild with politically-charged posts. I mean this with the utmost sincerity, I apologize if this has been turning you off of my content or has been at all triggering. I understand that the world is in a scary place right now and you may not need your content creators doing stuff that reminds you of that fact when you're just trying to escape it.

That being said, I can't ignore what's happening. It's not who I am and above all else, my promise to you is and will always be honesty. Who you see is who I am. When I see injustice or misinformation or lies or abuses of power, my belief is that it is my responsibility as a citizen to speak out about it. My hope is that it doesn't turn too many of you off and that you'll stick around, but I understand completely if you need to tune out for your own mental well-being. I will always encourage you to take care of that above all else, even if it means you need to mute or block me.

That being said, the podcast will always focus on the Geekdom. I may stray into political talk from time to time but the focus of the show is positivity in fandom and I aim to stick to that. My socials may go feral with liberal politics but the show is my safe space to focus on the nerd stuff I love.

I do hope you are well. I hope you are taking care of yourself and those around you. And I hope that as things continue to shift in the world, you'll stand next to me as we face it all down together.
